At the risk of sounding recklessly dangerous.
I find myself empathetic with your love triangle story.

Johnny D,
A long time ago I used to date one of those zero-empathy types. She’s now married to a republican. I feel sorry for that poor guy.

Empathy intrinsicly is not political–it is a quality of the soul that doesn’t mix well with a malignant ego always looking out for numba one
I can only feel for those without empathy–while they can’t feel a thing for me
Watch out for people without empathy–they are dangerous mothafuckers

Robt,
You have a good point. The last thing the good old boy’s network wants is competition. They would actually have to do a little real work for a change.

I may disagree a little with you Skip.
Competition is not held supreme by corporate entitiies and their leaders.
Example, as Obama comes closer to offering an alternative payer Health Care. It will be directly in competition with private insurers. They do not want that competition at all.
On the other hand, forcing wage competition between America and foriegn countires with lower standards of living and little or no governance to protect common law, human rights, enviromental platorms is what republican unrestricted capitolism is all about.
I think the “characteristic” is required to be establish of one long before elevated to corporate status as CEO.
Somwtimes I think they have to have a proven record on their resemes that displays who they have killed, stabbed in the back and had assassinated.
OK-I know, I know it goes with the job.
