Whither the Democratic Congress?
May 13, 2009
Guest: Congressman and former three-star Admiral Joe Sestak, Democrat of Pennyslvania–the highest ranking military officer ever elected to Congress, having conducted operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Questions I plan to ask:
- What specifically is being done to help the economy?
- What can be done to stop the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan?
- What will happen in Pennsylvania now that Arlen Specter has switched sides?

Perhaps a proactive mission for U.S. forces–would be to shoo the Taliban away from Pakistan’s nuclear weapons–if that means relieving Pakistan’s “somewhat-mercenary” army in the Swat Valley–so be it–seemingly better than sitting on a border-LZ–waiting for the Taliban to call the shots–in one’s underwear

Things must be more casual in Afghanistan–than I thought–with GIs sleeping in their underwear–I know I always slept with my pants on–in the bush of Vietnam–and we sure as hell didn’t wear underwear
