So Long Chief Justice Rehnquist

Our Chief Justice Rehnquist was from the old school of Americans racists: the kind that didn’t have to hide it. While he was reportedly a “nice regular guy” in private, Rehnquist’s opinions were great examples of the arrogance of power. He didn’t feel the need to justify or explain his decisions. Many of his rulings were classic: “I say so, because I’m the Chief Justice” without basis in law or reason.
How will the next Chief Justice be different?

Well it’s a happy ending–the bell tolls for him–he’s dead, dead, dead–nuff said

Rehnquist undoubtfully should have retired some time ago. Did he not have a life to get out and enjoy? Or was that position of chief justice to strong of a hold of power and stature. He didn’t think he could be replaced? Till the day he died. Not sure if we were getting our monies worth out of him the last few years. Sad he hung on to the job till the end. Having nothing to retire for and to…………….

Awkward that Rehnquist’s casket was all over the front page yet Bush wouldn’t stand for killed soldiers caskets at Dover to be photographed.
