Today is Abraham Lincoln’s birthday (February 12th). Here are a few quotes to honor his memory:
Lincoln referred to our nation’s “fruitful fields”, “healthful skies” and other national blessings, then he proclaimed:
“No human counsel hath devised, nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the most-high God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy.” Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865), proclaiming a day of Thanksgiving — October 3, 1863.
“With malice toward none, and charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations.” Second Inaugural Address [Mar. 4, 1865].

Lincoln, in a debate with Stephen Douglass, was accused of being two-faced. He replied, “If I had another face, do you think I’d wear this one?”

Does anyone share my suspissions about the abount of tech problems that befall progressive talk radio.
