Bush is NO Fiscal Conservative
October 27, 2004(archived broadcast )
My guests are Congressman Bobby Scott, Democrat of Virginia who serves on the House Budget Committee, and former Congressman Michael Forbes, Republican of New York, who served on the House Appropriations Committee.
President Bush has given us the highest budget deficit in American history, just four years after President Clinton gave us the highest budget surplus in American history.
If you’re a fiscal conservative, your choice is clear: John Kerry.
So says the Executive Editor of The American Conservative
ALSO, IF TIME PERMITS, Mark reports on the secret and illegal Republican plan to prevent Blacks from voting in Ohio and Florida. 68,000 Floridians have ALREADY lost their right to vote.
AND a comment on the World Series: how the arrogance of the Yankees was their downfall — and will be for George Bush as well. Go Red Sox and Kerry!

Bush Administration Accidentally Allows 380 Tons of High-Grade Explosives Fall Into Hands of Iraqi Terrorists
October 25, 2004(archived broadcast )
“Oops,” Bush’s spokesman reported. “It’s like the weapons of mass destruction. We just misplaced them, but they have to be around somewhere!”
The above quotation is fictitious, but the problem is real. Despite knowing of their exact location, the Bush Administration was too busy protecting oil fields to prevent 380 tons of high-grade explosives in Iraq from following into the hands of Iraqi insurgents.
The Administration has tried to cover up this story, just as they have ordered the CIA to withhold its report detailing the colossal errors of the Bush Administration leading up to 9/11 until after the election.
My guest is John Kerry’s National Security Advisor Dr. Susan E. Rice (the OTHER Dr. Rice).

War Profiteering
October 22, 2004(archived broadcast )
You may think you’ve heard all there is to hear about Halliburton no-bid contracts in Iraq. But this show will shock even hardened Democrats.
My guest, Antonia Juhasz, Project Director of the International Forum on Globalization, describes in detail how the Bush Administration installed corporations to permanently run Iraq — even where that conflicts with democracy there — and how animosity against these American corporate rulers is fueling the Iraqi attacks against American troops.
