Mel Gibson's Gospel
(archived broadcast )
The Gospel According to Mel
What did you think of “The Passion”? Violent? Antisemitic? Anti-Christian? Or a profound look into the soul?
Was it an accurate depiction of The Gospels? Were the Gospels themselves history?
What did you think of the “The Passion of the Christ”? Did you see it? Did you refuse to see it? Why?
Mark Levine is not just a Congressional attorney but a scholar of Jewish history, which he used to teach.
And early Christian history is, of course, inseparable from early Jewish history.
As a practicing Jew who reveres history and respects the views of all non-violent religious teachings, Mark is nevertheless concerned about rising antisemtism on the Right and on the Left.
As such, he has a unique perspective on the film.
Join his respectful but impassioned debate with a supporter of the “Passion.”
