Washington Gas proposes to give our national security to Bermuda-based Accenture, a company involved in the Enron fraud and dozens of cases of fraud, kickbacks, and tax evasion.
Do we really want our natural gas pipelines, sitting time bombs under our nation’s cities, controlled by Malaysians making less than minimum wage?
Better hurry. It will happen November 1, unless YOU help stop it by contacting the Governor and Legislature of Maryland, the Mayor and City Council of the District of Columbia, and the State Corporation Commission in Virginia.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

I would really like to know whether you have to be a sadist and/or sociopath in order to be a highly successful CEO these days. What do these people really think, or are there any thought processes of any significance going on at all?
I bought a book a couple of years ago titled Barbarians to Bureaucrats. It is written by a true believer in the capitalistic system. It talks about how businesses and societies go through a single “bell curve” and that there are parallels between the two. The very end of this curve is called the “aristocratic phase” in which he describes what is going on now in the states these days. He says that this phase is characterized by take overs since the upper level management is so far removed from reality and so low in creative skills that they can’t think of anything else to do. The analogy with our society today is pretty direct.

If the Republicans do not believe in government. Then why do the run for elected office? Spend all the time and moola to get into public offices?
They may not like what government presently is in America and want to change that government to a fascist ran country (they strive). I guess they think there will always be a place at the top in this fascist state of theirs forever and for their children. That will always keep them in the ruling class.
There are many rpepublicans that espouse this mentality, ” If you don’t like America, leave “.
As if there perception and ownership of this country is theirs only. Would they serve their country in the military? Not for the most.
So they want to change America into their own ideological rule. So it appears they are the ones that do not like freedom, democracy, for all.
Only the republican royalty deserve these things.
So why don’t they just leave and go to any fascist country where they would fit in easily?
