Al–it’s bad luck to publicly talk too much about your book before you write it–but ask for a response from Dick Cheney–or better yet–write fictional replies from all sorts of people throughout history–that could be hillarious–you do expect this book to be comedic–right?
An Ex-FBI agent talking about patriotism–that’s a funny concept–go with it (ex-CIA is better, though)

I an writing a book entitled: Why You Should Pledge Allegiance To America, one section of which will contain a compliation of articles (personal permission granted to include in the book)written by some notable individuals, namely,
Elie Wiesel, David Horowitz, Dinesh D’Souza,
William Federer, Hilmar von Campe and others.
Accordingly, I would be honored to receive a patriotic article written by Mark so that I might also include it in my contemplated book.
I currently reside with my wife in a small town north of the George Washington Bridge, namely,
Rivervale, NJ. I shall be most grateful for Mark’s consideration per this request. Kindest regards, Al Chestone, (Retired FBI Agent)

During the Revolutionary War–1/3 of Americans were revolutionaries, 1/3 were undecided, and 1/3 were tories–E Pluribus Unum–Out of many, to one–the uniqueness of America is in its diversity–and the respect given to its diversity
America is a country that still needs to bow down to God in deeds and not just empty words
How many proud civilizations have succomb to that primal fate?
    A Future Passed
    The pretty, purple-skinned, pregnant princess
    waits for her lover
to return from the war; though,
    he’ll never come again
to pulse pleasure within her, intimately
by the early light of dawn.
The warm air of the approaching spring storm
    blows open the threshold
    and distant lightning glows
the darkened sky shades of orange
    for sharp intermittent instants,
    before fading back to black.
Scattered raindrops riding gusts of wind
land on her soft indigo face
    that stares into the blow.
Faraway thunder growls a music bed
    for nature’s impending show.
Soon the Purple Race will be no more,
    all extinct victims
    of evolution’s scourge.
    The princess’s baby will be its last ruling king;
as destiny swallows a proud people.

I think we will need to come up with an new date; the day freedom and indopendance officialy died in U.S.A.. A sad day – not a day to be celibrated – Just a day to recognize when democracy ended ang military- industerial complex stole our country.
