Today I discuss how climate change is affecting Hurricane Harvey. I also cover how Donald Trump, and today’s Republican party, share responsibility for making matters worse when it comes to climate change forcing natural disasters to become more dangerous and more frequent.

‘Racist’ is the least bad thing that Joe Arpaio can be accurately called, he is responsible for the torture and death of multiple human beings in what he personally called his own “concentration camps.” (https://static.currentaffairs.org/2017/08/wait-do-people-actually-know-just-how-evil-this-man-is)
Yet, Donald Trump pardoned him…in the middle of one of the worst natural disasters in recent American history, Hurricane Harvey.
Listen as I give the details that every American needs to know about the man that the President just unilaterally pardoned.

I’m again joined by two local Charlottesville, VA radio talk hosts to discuss the aftermath of the domestic terrorist attack that killed Heather Heyer, and injured 19 others, in their hometown this past weekend.
They are David Vaughn Straughn, who witnessed the murder of 32-year-old Heather Heyer from just feet away, and Leslie Scott-Jones, who was just a few blocks away from the attack.
We’re also joined by callers as we discuss President Trump’s remarks yesterday where he was an apologist for Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists. Finally, we hear remarks from Heather Heyer’s Mother and Father at her memorial.
Leslie Scott-Jones was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she lives with her two children. She co-hosts “Home Grown,” a radio show about local art, on 94.7 WPVC and is the artistic director at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center.
David Vaughn Straughn is a local activist who has lived in Charlottesville for over 20 years. He is a contributing writer for Parle Magazine and Scalawag, and co-hosts “Home Grown” with Scott-Jones.
Additionally, here is an op-ed they wrote together for CNN on Monday: http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/14/opinions/what-comes-next-in-charlottesville-scott-jones-straughn-opinion/
