Special Guest: CIA intelligence analyst and State Department counter-terrorism official Larry Johnson, member of the Steering Group of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, who has written extensively defending Valerie Plame Wilson from the Administration criminals who committed treason by destroying her.
In his words: “It is slowly dawning on the American people that the Bush administration attack on Valerie and Joe Wilson was part of a broader conspiracy to hide the fact that our political leaders fabricated a case for war in Iraq. Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby, and Karl Rove, among others, apparently preferred to destroy a valuable intelligence asset rather than expose the truth that the United States went to war in Iraq based on misinformation and deception. That is a crime deserving the most serious punishment.”

As I predicted, after Harriet Miers, Bush moved to the Hard Right-Wing, nominating Scalia clone Judge Samuel Alito (nicknamed “Scalito”) to the United States Supreme Court.
Unlike Chief Justice Roberts – a close case I agreed to support – or the unqualified crony Harriet Miers, who I did not, if Scalito is true to his nickname, there is only one option: FILIBUSTER!
If he threatens to be another Scalia, all stops must be pulled to prevent such an extremist from trying to exercise power over our private lives.
Maybe only then will Bush pick a Republican nominee that both parties can respect.

As I predicted, Harriet Miers has withdrawn her nomination. The Administration’s spin — that it has to do with executive privilege — is laughable since this same White House refused to turn over documents relating to John Roberts work for President George Bush I. The real reason was that the Right hated her.
Why? To answer that question I have invited as my guest, Manuel Miranda, former counsel to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, and founder and chairman of the Third Branch Conference, a coalition of grassroots organizations following judicial issues. Miranda was fired by Frist for secretly monitoring the computers of Democratic staffers on the Senate Judiciary Committee and leaking that information to the press.
The other big news, of course, is the indictment of Scooter Libby, Vice-President Cheney’s Chief of Staff and the highest ranking sitting government official to be indicted in 140 years. Will he keep quiet or squeal on his boss, the Traitor of TraitorGate? Rove has not been indicted but is not off the hook yet. And since Rove and Cheney effectively run the Administration, the indictment of Karl Rove and the Feds barking at Cheney will effectively leave the Bush Administration without ANYONE RUNNING THE PLACE.
But anarchy, after all, would be a dramatic improvement.

Why can’t Republicans understand that there is still systematic racism in the USA at every level from small business, to corporations, to the Federal Government? Why can’t Democrats understand that there is severe cultural dysfunction internal to large groups of poor Blacks living in America’s ghetto?
BOTH are severe problems. And still, the Right and Left talk past each other…
Guest: Kevin Gray, contributing editor for Black News in Columbia, South Carolina and Author of an up-coming book tentatively titled “The Death of Black Politics.”
