    Hello Mark,
forgive me for my delay in commenting on this interview, but I am a podcasterlistener because of my working hours.
In your discussion with Mike Lane the issue of “death panels” arose. You both started out reasonable on the subject then came to a big disagreement over Gov’t mandated or optional every 5 years for a paid for counciltation of a living will.
I looked up your rebuttal to Mike to find you are accurate in what the bill reads. It is not mandatory as well as there is NO one bill as yet.
Mike Lane made a very pointed battle line of his anti public option position when he said,
” Gov’t should not be forcing anyone to meet with a Gov’t beauraucrat to finalize a living will”.
He also mentioned that he believes a Gov’t beauraucrat will covertly convince people of what to do in their final day.
Now I know he used his words carefully when he saud, “I Believe”. Some people have been known to “believe in big foot, but they have no proof, evidence, or facts to support their belief. That is why it can be a belief.
So my question to you is:
When Mike Lane raised the cain over a Gov’t beauraucrat should not be meeting with people”.
I had understood that it was a counciling with ones own doctor that the public option would reimburse every 5 years.
    Could you verify this?
    Thanks…………………

Loved your comment. I am working with Organizing For America in getting the truth out and I am glad you are doing what you are doing. Mike’s comments were so typically republican without any compassion or understanding about the real world out there and the issues of getting coverage if you do not work for a large company or you have a preexisting condition. How much more productive would are society be if no one had to worry about getting care, they got care earlier and they could work the hob they love not the one that provides coverage!
